STUDENT INFORMATION  

 -Latin Club will have its first meeting TODAY at 3:40 in the Latin room.  Dues are $10 and are due by September 27th.  You do not have to have paid your dues before the meeting.  

Santa Fe Key Club is starting a food drive this week and going through next week (Sept. 22) for your own Santa Fe food pantry! Help by bringing microwavable meals, juice boxes, fruit cups, and snack bars, but NO canned foods! For Key Club points please turn your donated items into Mrs. Wilson’s room 122 in F hall. And remember, no canned food! Flyers are posted around the school with a list of items you can donate. Thank you so much for your help!!

  

-The first astronomy club meeting will be THursday at 7:15 am in room 23. We will be discussing what the year will look like and taking nominations for club officers

 

-TINKER AIR FORCE BASE CAREER DAY-Are you interested in a Military career?  Then come to the counseling office to sign-up for Tinker Air Force Base Career Day.   The Tinker Air Force Career Day will include a tour of the base and exploration of all the careers that exist in the Air Force.  The tour is Thursday, September 14, 2017. This Career Experience is open to JUNIORS & SENIORS ONLY on a first come basis.  So please get the permission slips returned quickly.

-Attention Enviro Club! If you’re interested in running for office, there will be a mandatory meeting this Thurs at 3:35 in Mrs. Manning’s room (Room 10). And don’t worry, if you haven’t joined the Environmental Club yet, there’s still time! Just pay your $5 dues at the financial window before/after school, during lunch and during passing

 

-¡Hola! Interested in Spanish Club or Spanish Honor Society?  Talk to your Spanish teacher or stop by Señora Sackett’s room, 139, for more info. Our first meeting will be September 14-mark your calendars!

 TSA’s annual Back To TSA Night will be held Thursday, September 14th from 5:30 until 7:30 here at Santa Fe High School.  This event is open to the entire district and is intended for anyone who is currently a member of TSA, anyone who is interested in finding out more about TSA, and families of new and prospective members.  Coach O’s Bar-B-Que and Mr. Yeti’s Snowball trucks will be set up outside the North doors to provide dinner, which can then be eaten in the cafeteria.  After dinner, students will participate in fun events while parents will attend an information meeting to discuss TSA needs throughout the district.   If you have any questions, see Ms. James in room 110.  We look forward to seeing everyone there to kick off another great year with TSA!

 

-You may sign up for Business Professionals of America (BPA) in Mr. Bean’s room. The cost is $40 which includes your National and State dues plus club t-shirt.  Cutoff for payment is Friday September 22nd. See Mr. Bean for additional details.

 

-Juniors: if your GPA is 3.0 or better, apply for Youth Leadership Edmond. This is a great opportunity to connect with Edmond business leaders and develop your own leadership skills. Applications are in the Counseling Office and due by September 22.

 

Ready for vacation already? Mr. Heaverin is planning another student overseas trip for the summer of 2019. This time we are taking a 12-day excursion to China and South Korea! Please come by room 14 to get a trip information sheet to take home for your parents. 

-PSAT Tests are for sale in the Finance office and online. The test is $20. Test date is Wednesday, October 11. Make sure you come to the finance office before school, during passing, or during the lunch hours
