Dear Cheyenne Families,
We are so excited about Cheyenne's annual Walk to Remember event coming up on Friday, April 24th. This is our school's spring fundraiser and we give a portion of the funds raised to the Oklahoma City National Memorial.
The Cheyenne PTO works closely with the elective teachers to honor the lives of those lost on April 19, 1995 by participating in a walk to the OKC bombing memorial at Mitch Park. The students will hear from a guest speaker who focuses on hope, community, and the Oklahoma standard. After the speaker, the students walk back to Cheyenne and celebrate with an outdoor carnival of games, inflatables, concession items, and music! This all takes place by grade during their elective hours.
All donations over $25 get the student an "All You Can Play" wristband for the carnival on Friday! Wristbands include a snack and a drink from the concession stand, unlimited turns on the inflatables, and unlimited FUN at the carnival games hosted by the electives teachers.
Wristbands will be sold during advisory beginning Monday, April 20- Thursday, April 23. Online donations will open that morning as well. Prizes will be awarded to our top advisory class. Wristbands and tickets may also be purchased on Friday at the carnival but will not count towards our advisory/grade competition and will be cash only. Games and concessions are 1 ticket each. Tickets are $2 each.
We need volunteers and donations to help make this event a success for the students and the school. Please use the links below to sign up to volunteer at your child's grade level time or to bring items to help stock the concession stand and support the games for the carnival. Items can be delivered to the front office anytime between now and the 23rd.
