FAFSA Resources
Beginning with the 2024-2025 school year, in order to graduate from a public high school accredited by the State Board of Education, students shall complete and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Completing the FAFSA is crucial for students seeking financial assistance for college or career technical education. It determines eligibility for federal financial aid, including grants, loans, and work-study programs. Many states, colleges, and CareerTech also use FAFSA information to award their own scholarships and aid. By submitting the FAFSA, students can access financial support, potentially reducing the burden of tuition and related expenses and making education more affordable and accessible. Additionally, some scholarships require a completed FAFSA, and filling it out early can improve the chances of receiving aid. Ultimately, the FAFSA is a key step in unlocking various educational financial resources.
More information is available on the Edmond Public Schools website.
The Common Application (Common App) is a non-profit membership organization representing nearly 900 diverse institutions of higher education. We connect applicants and those who support them to a wide array of public and private colleges and universities across all 50 U.S. states, and 20 countries.
Each year, more than one million students - a third of whom are first generation - apply to college, research financial aid and scholarships, and connect to college counseling resources through Common App.
Oklahoma’s Promise allows 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th grade students from families meeting certain income requirements to earn a college or technology center tuition scholarship.
